2009 Jayco Eagle 345 BHS

I just signed the paperwork on my 2009 Jayco Eagle 345 BHS! I'll take delivery in Albany, NY on the 15th, and then off for a month of camping! WOO HOO!

I live in MD, but I'm headed up there for business. Nothing like getting paid to pick up my rig!

I will include a picture as soon as I pick up the new toy.

007, thanks for the link. I had already printed your checklist and have it ready. I also used it to take delivery of my last camper in September. It's good stuff!

Funny addition to my story.

I went in to the dealer today to sign some paperwork (the contract, bank loan papers, etc). I asked to see my unit for the first time. I was very excited as we drove over to the "overflow" lot a block away from the main dealer. The salesman and I went through the lot twice, but could not find my camper. He thought that perhaps the preperations had begun on it already, and ran us over to the service lot (another block away). No camper.

So, I'm a bit worried at this point that they have sold my camper out from under me. The sales manager is very concerned by my salesman's inability to find the camper, and runs off on her own to find the camper. She comes back baffled.

How do you hide a 5 ton trailer that is 38 feet by 8.5 feet?

The answer is, you are the service guy who takes the camper in for dealer prep. You notice an inconsistency in the paint finish. So, forgetting to tell anyone, you drive it to the body shop to get the paint fixed.

So, in the end, they located the camper. She'll be back at the dealer in the morning, and I'll go check her out after work. I bought her site-unseen, so this will be the first time I meet my actual camper. I have seen my model before, just not MY camper.

So exciting!

I'll also be doing some pre-delivery inspections on the trim and finish so they have a chance to fix them before Friday when I take official delivery.
