2013 Thor Tuscany 40FX

Pictures follow from the rig we signed papers for today. Tomorrow, after minor fixes are done, we'll have her parked right next to the Fleetwood Bounder 33C we traded in so we can make the transfer.

She apparently has some Italian heritage, given her name, so we're calling her Toni: short for Rigatoni. 'Tis to laugh....

This was like Internet dating: DH went online and located just the color and floor plan we liked, and we put down a deposit from 955 miles away. Drove to FL to meet her, sign if we really liked her, and will spend some time getting to know her before leaving together.

Marriage may not be in the cards, but I see a very close relationship in our future. Rallies, trips, and whole snowbird winters together. Ah, Toni, we love you!

Cheers, y'all!

Bella Rigatoni ... I like it!

We stayed at the dealer's for 6 nights, 5 days getting everything as right as they could make it. Still some outstanding issues, but DH will handle some of it, and Thor will have to take care of the rest.

CW in St. Augustine was great. They did their utmost to make us happy, put their specialists to work on each problem, and treated us like family.

Bella R., now that we have her on the road, is a marvel. No more screaming up little rises in the road, shifting down into 2nd gear! Concrete highway seams (kachunk, kachunk, kachunk) don't rattle our eye teeth any more. We can talk to each other without yelling, as in the front engine gasser.

We are definitely happy campers.

Cheers
Sue

As the aforementioned DH, let me add some exterior shots of our new coach. As Sue mentioned, there are several items that will require attention by Thor in Elkhart such as the full wall slide not seeming to close properly, a cracked tile in the engine hatch, cupboard doors jamming tight together and a ceiling light fixture coming away from the ceiling whilst we were driving home. Well, we were planning going over to tour the factory anyway.

On a sad note, whilst entering our very tight driveway entrance, I managed to take out our mail box causing some ugly paint damage. Unfortunately, it is in area where the paint colors blend from one to another so the color match could be tricky. Hopefully, Thor can take care of that while we are there.

On a separate note, I had installed the amazing 5 star tune to our Bounder but returned it to standard tune when we traded it. So, I now have the 5 star back in the scanner and of no use to me. Anyone care to offer me a good price for it? ( SarahW, now you have those nice recliners maybe it's time to give your engine a treat! )

Hi! She is a pretty rig, isn't she? I do keep telling her, "Pretty is as pretty does."

No, the kitchen is amidship and on the driver's side. That puts it more or less opposite the lounge & dinette. It's a bit stretched out, from the sink forward past the stove & fridge to the pantry cupboard behind the driver's seat, but it works pretty well.
