2014 Open Range on order

Hello everyone,

The hunt for our RV is completed. Have ordered an Open Range RF337RLS. This started about a year ago when we decided to get back into Rving. If I may, can I go back a few years. We had a Sea Hawk 5th wheel and pulled it with a Ford diesel. We took the 5th to a campground for seasonal. After a couple years a double lot with a Park Model came up for sale. The campground has an area of 40 lots you own. We wanted the open lot for the 5th wheel but the people would only sale the two lots and the park model.. So we purchased the lots and park model thinking we would sale the park model. After moving into the park model we decided to keep it and use the 5th for our kids went they come up to the campground. This worked for a year. I sold the truck since we weren't using it. Then I had a chance to sell the 5th wheel. After another couple years the wife and I started thinking about getting back into Rving for retirement, which would be coming up. We started thinking travel trailer and not a big 5th wheel. So I purchased a used 2003 Silverado 2500HD with a 6 liter gas. So the search starts. We had been going to the RV shows in Novi and other places close to home. The small travel trailer started to grow. What we wanted in a floor place was a 5th wheel. Then I started thinking about being maxed out in weight and didn't want that. Back to finding a travel trailer with three slides. This becomes a real search. By this time we liked the Open Range above any of the others we have looked. So the Open Range JT334RLS looked the best for us. This is the same flood plan as the Romer RF337RLS. But it was not the 5th wheel we liked. I had been told by a couple dealers that my truck could pull the RF337RLS but would not be able to the Rockies. Then it came to my mind that I could add a Banks Power Pak system to the truck and it would be able to pull without problems.

So back to the start of this posting, the Open Range is on order. It will be a 2014 build, so will have to wait about 4 to 6 weeks.

It looks beautiful would love to see pictures of the inside. We have class A looking to get fifth wheel and looking at Open Range 430RLS. We have bought lot in River Ranch RV Resort in River Ranch, Fl. Great place to live for Winter months. We tend to travel more in Summer. Fifthe wheel would be stationary.
