2017 Fleetwood Discovery

Hello everyone. I'm new to this site and in a short amount of time I've found a lot of cool ideas and product recommendations on here. Pretty neat. Just purchased a new coach this summer it's a 2017 Fleetwood Discovery 39G. So far, my family and I are really enjoying it! Working out a few minor things here n there, but that's to be expected with these things. Whether it's a boat, an RV or any toy really, that stuff is just the nature of the beast. Over a long span of years, I've had an '87 Georgie Boy Encounter 34 - Class A GM454 gasser (it used to eat manifold gaskets often, apparently it liked them) and a '94 Dutchmen 29 Class C - Ford 460 gas. Been boating mostly and haven't RV'd since sometime in the 90's.

Decided to do some traveling/camping with my family, so just this summer picked up our new diesel pusher and talk about not even being in the same universe…wow!! What a difference, there's just no comparison to the gas jobs I remember! So far we've done a few trips this summer of 5-6 hours in different directions, mostly north up into Maine. Sad that the summer is coming to an end and already looking forward to next summer!! Well, this is just about the most I've randomly ever told total strangers. So, I guess I'll just end by saying...Glad to be here, have a good one all, safe travels and happy memories! p.s. Not sure why some of the pictures are upside down, but you get the idea.

Congratulations on the sweet rig. I hope you're an astronaut since it looks like you have to drive upside down 🚀

Thanks! Yes, it sure took some getting used to and the seat belts really help!

Love the marble tile ceilings! Welcome! I just traded my boat for a second motorhome... A Monaco Knight 38 PDQ. I've got two now, but hopefully one will sell and sooooo glad to be out of boating after 24 years!

Yes, new for this year and very palatial! Hard to mop though.

I certainly don't miss all the maintenance, copiuos amounts of diesel, plus all the expenses that come with boating in salt water. Admittedly though, I do miss running out there on the big water (on those calm, flat or following sea days) it was sure great medicine! But, this is sure cheaper, far more convenient to use even on a whim and it is fun for the whole family!

Best of luck on selling and thanks!

They just keep getting better - we looked at a new one but couldn't afford it. Had to settle on a 2014 instead. They really bumped up the trim on these in the last 2-3 years.

That is weird because if you click on them to view them is their own browser window (tab) then they are right side up.

I noticed that too…and it is weird. Oh well… keeps it different than the others.

Yes they do…a little healthy competition always helps with raising the bar.

I wouldn't call that settling and I'm sure its a beautiful coach. Enjoy it and many happy miles to you!
