2020 Coachmen Catalina

We previously had a 97 Bounder for about 4 years. Loved it, but as the kids are getting bigger it really didn’t work well any more from a sleeping standpoint. We also wanted something a little roomier as our old girl didn’t have any slides. Started out looking for another Class A until one day, literally as we were turning into an RV dealership to do some shopping, our minivan died. It was a minor issue that I was able to fix on the spot (battery terminal split) but it was the last straw for that vehicle as it’s the family car and I want them in a reliable car out here in the AZ summer. We had been talking about not doing a motor home and going with a fiver or a trailer instead, and that did it. Long story shortened a bit, we ultimately bought a brand new Coachmen Catalina bunkhouse model and a certified pre-owned Suburban to tow it. DW loves the Suburban as her daily driver. I need to get used to towing the TT but we already took it on an inaugural trip up to Payson and survived so I guess I’ll get the hang of it. Our first time backing into our spot at the storage lot went about as well as you all might expect, but luckily we both survived that too!
