3 Cheers to Itasca, Freightliner and Cummins
We took delivery of our new Itasca Ellipse 42GD a few weeks ago. It took a day and a half to move our gear from our old Endura to the new unit at the dealer's parking lot and another 4 days to get everything situated. After that our friends from China arrived on their first trip to the USA and we started on our Journey. Four days in San Diego, one day in Indio, Ca, 4 days at the Grand Canyon (had to leave on the day the gov't closed it), 2 days in Teluride, Colorado, 7 days in Vegas and 2 days in Prescott, Arizona before they had to go home. After that my wife and I made our way cross country to Ohio and all with no problems on the coach.
I have a list of 7 small items that need to get fixed, but I am totally impressed with the coach and the quality.
Good job Winnebego/Itasca!

I too agree with your praise of the program at Winnebago Industries. These babies are a dream to drive.

Thanks for the responses from everyone. As most of you did, we did a lot of research before pulling the trigger on such a large expense and Winnebago/Itasca was the winner with Allegro a close 2nd at our price point. As usual personal preference on floor plans wins.
We went into this purchase realizing that there would be issues, these units are so complex it is extremely naive to think everything is going to be perfect on any coach including a Foretravel or Prevos.
Yes we have a few issues and expect a few more to develop, but we are dividing them into what we will fix, what the dealer will fix and what will wait for the factory trip in the spring. The lack of support on our previous coach taught us that the more systems that you can learn about and handle yourself the better.
As a side note, it looks like I can retire the mechanics creeper that our previous coach required that I carry around.
