Trekkers,

The four day shakedown cruise went flawlessly. Total maintenance problems was a lost stripped out screw to the A/C filter screen.
My total newbie mistakes was limited to shutting off all power to the rig and than not being able to figure out why the generator wouldn't start. Also couldn't figure out why the leveling posts wouldn't work till I realized I hadn't set the park break.
That was it! Like I said, flawless.

Now that you are a member of the Winnie Family, think about investigating a local WIT chapter,travelling to Iowa for the Grand National Rally and as always look to your new friends here with any questions.

Might suggest you check those tires although they might look good when they are over the 5-7 year old mark they have a high tendancy for blow out.

Thanks, we are replacing the front tires this month before a 500 mile trip, and the back four in June before we head out of state. It's painful because they look so pristine but I know they gotta go.
I'm a professional bus driver so nothing has a higher priority than safety to me. Those tire replacement dates are as soon as our budget permits.

I had a unit almost exactly like that.....wish I still had it. I put a liner in the doghouse and quietened things down a bit. A great coach.

Probably referred to as insulation but it helps especially when the engine is down shifting frequently.

I believe one brand name is "Dynamat". It is used frequently in hot rods and customs to reduce noise.

Just purchased this 2005 Winnebago Adventurer 35A. Not as nice as some of the new ones, but we hope it will fit our needs. This will be our first rig with slides!!

Very nice. I like the clean functional lines of the Winnebago MH's of that time, which was a major factor in choosing our Chieftain. Thanks for taking the time to post the pictures.
