Things have changed, I hope for the better. We had finally decided on a FR Wildcat front bunkhouse and pretty much set on it. We were visiting different dealerships and looking around and ended up changing our minds and are now getting a Cardinal 33 TBHLE with a rear bunk room and 3 slides. We've begun our PDI checklist with the dealer and will pick it up on Tuesday.

Our Skyline Aljo served us well the past 7 or 8 years but it's time for a change.

Anxious and excited!

Thanks. We're read both pros and cons about Forest River and Cardinals so hoping it all goes well. Having the PDI list was a big list and I think gave us some credibility with the dealer...or at least less sucker-like.

We just completed our first trip in our new Cardinal. We traveled from Texas to Florida, Georgia and back to Texas. It was a great trip and I'm excited to report that we had no problems and everything worked perfectly...even the Concertone.

IH 10 was tough and there were times I though that nothing could survive the stretch through Louisian and Mississippi but it did.

Thanks for all the input and wisdom!

IH 10 thru Louisiana is much improved from what it was years ago when I pulled my Cardinal. It looked like the hitch was going to jump out of the bed of the truck. A trick I learned from a guy who delivered trailers to dealers professionally was to travel with the holding tanks at least half full. Helps hold her down on such roads. We arrived once in Little Rock on IH30 to find the table and chairs in a pile in the middle of the room.

Hope you enjoy your Cardinal.

We had a Cardinal 32 CKT 5er and we really liked it. I did have a problem with a bedroom slide link that drove me crazy and I spent a small fortune trying to fix it, but, overall we enjoyed it and found it to be well made.
