First DP

This is our third MH. Class C, Class A gasser, and now this:
2013 Fleetwood Expedition 38B. Lots to learn. Powerful and quiet.

Congratulations! Looks like a fine rig! I think the main difference in going to a diesel is the braking system. Getting used to the exhaust brake, or jake (compression) brake, and the Allison transmission. They really work great on the big downhill grades. Some of them come on when you lift your foot off the accelerator, and some come on when you first touch the brakes, (they can be programmed either way). As an example, vail pass in the rockies is a 7% grade, we use 4th gear and 1st stage of Jake brake to go down it and hardly ever have to touch the service brakes unless we have to adjust for traffic. All rigs will differ some, but go find a nice hill and practice

I think the first thing we noticed when we first took a trip in ours was how quiet it was up front. In our old van, we had to practically shout at each other, now all of a sudden it was just normal conversation. Enjoy the ride

Congrats folks, nice looking rig. We're headed up to MI in two weeks to go to the Spartan chassis factory for service. Enjoy.
