First MH . . . Finally Settled

I say finally, but we really only searched for about 3 weeks.

We had a deposit on a 2011 Forest River Georgetown and I just didn't feel great about the deal so we backed out and got our deposit back. We went to another dealer and found an excellent condition 2002 Fleetwood Pace Arrow that we liked. Again, we just liked it and weren't overly excited. We decided to go looking again...

We went to LaMesa RV in Sanford, FL, looked at quite a few possibilities, and as it's getting dark we look at a 2006 Newmar Kountry Star 3744 and were REALLY excited. 11,139 miles and 54 hours on the generator. Full body paint, Heat Pump, 7,500 watt generator, 12 cu ft. fridge, upgrade after upgrade according to the original brochure. Yes...we REALLY liked this one.

We went home and started searching and reading.

The following day we go back to look at it with more light and possibly make an offer. When we get there, it's gone but it isn't sold. It just happened to be out getting new tires. We hop in a passenger van with a sales person and a driver and I drove it back to the dealer after the tires are installed.

Made an offer, haggled a bit, waited it out, and made a deal. We picked it up yesterday and are thrilled.

Thanks for a great site and a very informative community . . . we appreciate your willingness to share information.

It pays to wait for the right one. Congratulations. What a find! Low mileage and low hours and good looking.

I think you made the right decision. Newmar has a great reputation for quality build and good service to boot! have the generator serviced by the dealer if they haven't already done so. So few hours on the genny means it sat more than it ran.

Enjoy your new, to you, RV

Happy Trails!
