First Shakedown Cruise

We just got back from our first weekend in the rig at Lake Mead, and it went far better than either of us expected. Not everything went perfectly, of course, but that's part of the learning process

Anyway, here's a better look at the interior... everyone already knows what the outside looks like

Induction cooktop?
Thinking about taking the two burner gas out and changing to a True Induction unit. Others have and seem to like them. The only propane in our rig is for the cooktop.

I gotta say, I was surprised by the induction cooktop - it's absolutely amazing. You have such precise control over temperature, and I don't think I've ever had a cooktop with a timer function on it before.

Between that and the convection oven - that cooked two 1"-thick porterhouse steaks to perfection almost by itself - and we're very happy with the upgrades.

It looks like it was converted to all electric...at least I didn't think that a residential refer was offered back then. I've been known to be wrong...once or twice. LOL

Does it have a diesel or LP hydro hot system? I don't see any floor vents.

You're 100% correct: It was converted by the previous owner just last year, so all the appliances are relatively new models.

It has a diesel / electric Hydro Hot. The floor has electric radiant heating underneath, and the heat pumps on top of course.

Thanks!

The previous owners did a great job on the remodel they did last year, but they only did the front living area... they left the bedroom pretty much stock except for a new king mattress. So we have a little bit left to do to modernize the decor. I don't particularly love the valances in the living area, but the wife does, and at least they don't look like grandma knitted them by hand out of hand-me-down gunny sacks.

Now it just needs some color - some pop, so to speak. Maroons mostly, some splashes of sea-foam green here and there... vases, candlesticks, throw pillows, flowers... that kind of thing.

We're also replacing all the brass-colored sconces with something like this or this. But if it's brass, it's gone... including the shower. I'm planning on installing a full-glass surround, but I just remodeled the master shower in our stix-n-brix so I kinda need a break from that kind of work.

We have some other work to do first anyway, so it'll be a while We'll keep everyone posted.
