First time RV'rs and "new" to us DP

At the ripe old age of 35, we purchased a 2002 Coachmen CC 354 Elite. After months of searching we finally found the one!

With a 5 yo and a 1 yo, we know we'll be able to travel quit a bit over the next 5 years as school and sports won't get into the way much. We'll have to reevaluate then, but for now we're gonna enjoy the heck outta it!!! Haha

It was a 1 owner rig which was purchased, maintained and sold back to the original dealership. They have all the maintenance records as well which was a HUGE plus in my decision. It had 105k miles on the Cummins and 150 hrs on the 7500 Onan diesel gen.

Tires are 3 yrs old and in great shape. They replaced both tube TVs with LCD's, installed an in motion sat and Tripp Lite inv. We drove it back from Tampa to STL and have taken two short trips. Only issues so far was the stock converter took a dump on me and I had to replace the surge tank which had a small leak. I replaced it with a PD 60 amp 3 stage and it works great. Much better than the stock "one" stage. The surge tank was an easy fix as I replaced it with a new one. I also replaced the air filter and changed the tranny fluid/filters. They're sure proud of Transynd!

One thing I'd like to eventually change is the blue carpet and the horrible fabric choice on the dinnette. It was built in 2002 with the interior decorater still stuck in the 70's! C'mon man!!!

We've sure enjoyed it and can't wait for the adventures ahead!

Welcome Aboard!

You and your family are going to have a blast! We home-schooled our kids so that we could spend as much time traveling as possible. Not only did we get to experience a WHOLE LOT of this great country, but the kids also got a FANTASTIC education!

Food for thought -- could work for you, too! The key is to HAVE FUN!!!
