When considering buying a rig 16 years old, you are taking chances, but the cost may be a motivating factor.
Remember , nothing is made to last a lifetime. Furnace, air conditioner, refrige and all other electric/propane things do fail and need replacing eventually.
You should buy only what you can afford, but keep in mind that things that aren't visible can go anytime. You didn't list the asking price, but that's an abortrary number the owner wants, not what unit is worth.
There are a lot of motorhomes on the market now because it's off-season and fuel costs.
Good luck and look at a lot of rigs and drive before you buy and take it to your mechanic and/or rv dealer.
