3K in 5 months....I think you will beat us since we are so close to the beaches. We are heading to New Brighton Beach by Santa Cruz this weekend...our first "real" trip in the big white box! We were lucky to get a cancellation as this camp site is generally booked solid several months in advance. Some friends are meeting us there to enjoy the sand and great weather. By the way, YES, we are a Mac family!...since the early 80's in fact! We'll be using our iPad for the GPS unit...works fantastic for this with the 10" retina display.

Cool have a great trip. Well we are new to Apple products...the transition is slow but we are committed. I bought my wife the iPAD 2 4G/WiFi....have not been able to get it out of her hands. She loves it.

Happy 4th and safe trails.

Larry

Stormrunner, I use Navigon because allows you to download the maps to your device, and it's owned by Garmin. TomTom's app is also really good. I own that one too, but keep going back to Navigon....according to AppAdvice, Navigon is also on sale in the App Store this weekend. Here's a couple links:

Have a great 4th!

By the way, TomTom, Navigon, and CoPilot all allow you to download maps, and I prefer any of these to AT&T and MapQuest and others that don't let you download the maps, which means you have to have a cell phone coverage for them to work...

This is just south of Half Moon Bay on highway 1. It's a beautiful drive between Half Moon Bay and Santa Cruz. We camped in Capitola at New Brighton State Beach and had a great time. We could walk for miles on the beach, or walk into Capitola for great food.

By the way, thanks to everyone for suggestions on a name...BWB seems to have stuck well, and we still love our BWB!
