Insurance replacement

Sadly, our 2014 StarCraft 278 BH was hit from behind June 30th. We were pulling it with our brand new GMC (less than 3000 km on it) 2 adults and 4 kids were all ok. The trailer was a total loss as it didn't stand much of a chance against a Dodge RAM pick up pulling a tandem axel trailer filled with wood slamming into it. Fortunately the hitch receiver was the only thing damaged on our truck and the frame wasn't bent at all.
Timing was on our side - our local RV dealer was having a 2016 inventory one day clearance sale a couple Saturdays after the accident. So, off we went first thing in the morning after I worked a night shift and in my exhausted state, agreed with DH that we wanted to upgrade and get a TT with a slide. I love our new 2016 StarCraft 289BHS! It reasonably sleeps 10 without even breaking down the dining area. Looks great with the new truck too!
Insurance covered replacement cost so we actually did ok on the payout.

Glad everyone was OK from the accident and congratulations on the new TT. I did get a chuckle out of your comment "It reasonably sleeps 10 without even breaking down the dining area." We have a 35 foot with 3 slides and I can't imagine 10 people even standing up together in there. In fact we have a hard and fast rule. This camper is only big enough for Grandma, Grandpa and Granddaughter.

Again enjoy your new RV!!!!
