Joining the RV ranks! Just got our first RV

Hi all!

We're certifiable, about as green as you can get. Last night (1/2/14) we purchased our very first RV. It's a Tiffin Phaeton 40RH Diesel Pusher which we haven't named yet. We're working on a name, haven't found one that fits just yet.

My goodness if you were here with us you'd be laughing hysterically. We have no practical experience whatsoever. And I mean none.

So we'll be leaning heavily on your wisdom to help us along the road.

Brittany and I have been married for 29 months and some change. Yes, we're still counting months. We'll be fulltiming starting at the end of February. Nothing like taking a leap of faith right?

This forum and more importantly the membership has been instrumental in helping us get to this point, so we want to say THANK YOU!

Like many others we'll be starting a blog to chronicle our adventures. Hope to see you out on the road and meet some of y'all!

Anyway, here is a photo of our rig, we'd love any input.

Been there done that in March 2012. My wife thought I was crazy then but she says shes knows for sure that I am crazy now. Just kidding Its been great and you will enjoy the coach. How about some more details and pics of the inside. Have you had it checked over, tires, chassis, batteries, etc, etc.

Great forum with answers to your questions.

Do a few campouts in your driveway to get the feel of what it is like and make a list of the things you will need and what you have already forgotten to bring.

I wish you many happy miles.

This is a very good way to live with mistakes, because you can just walk in the house and get what you need. We just purchased ours a month and a half ago and man oh man is there a lot to buy, organize, stock up on and little changes to make it yours.
We bought a brand new 2014 and we are still adding and changing and upgrading things.
Good luck in your travels. You picked a nice one

Congrats. The Phaeton is the best selling Tiffin. There are many on the road. Everyone cannot be wrong. Fine looking rig.

Remember the first rule of RVing - 100 miles or less from home you will remember what you forgot.
