Just got our new Forest River Vibe TT!!

Live in Oklahoma and just picked up our brand new FR 311RLS.

Took a lot of advice from the forums and the local TT owners and also bought a new 2016 Ram 2500 (tow package, 3.73, back up camera, etc.) Had to go with the 6.4L gas instead of the Cummins but the TT dry weight is only around 7000 pounds so I have plenty of power to load the rig and truck up. Blue Ox anti sway bars...GEICO insurance was a GREAT deal.

The TT is a bit longer than I wanted to go (almost 36' total) but it is very nice for our 1st TT. 50 amp service, 2 AC units, 12.5 cubic foot fridge (nice and big), outdoor kitchen with small fridge, outdoor bumper mount grill, electric tongue and electric jacks, electric awning...plenty of features to make the TT a nice home away from home.

planning on hitting a lake here in Oklahoma for a weekend then traveling to Northern New Mexico and Colorado for a good month of summer fun.

we have decided to name to TT 'Betsy' so we are not always saying 'the rv' or 'the travel trailer' or 'the trailer'...its going to a learning experience...we will try and share as much as we can through stories and photos here on the IRV2 site.

Any advice is always helpful - Mark

Mark, congrats are in order on a very nice set-up. You've got a home away from home, and a good choice on the 3.73 gear in the truck. Enjoy and travel safe.

thanks for the replies.

We are going to take the TT out for a test run/setup after the 4th of July weekend and prep ourselves (the best we can) for a good run at the end of July and into August.

I have been back and forth on buying a generator, one that is priced right AND big enough to power a TT.

anyone have opinions on the Durostar 10,000 watt (700 bucks at Home Depot/on sale).

again, thanks for the replies.
Pics will follow....plenty.

Everyone have a great Independence Day!
