OK, now that I've said it... I'll say it again. I love my LD! They get the best rating (5 stars) from rv.org every year & they deserve it! They're well built, well designed & they last 'forever'. I've got 49K miles on it & the only thing that has ever gone wrong was w/ the wiring on the Ford chassis. Everything from Lazy Daze works flawlessly w/ little maintenance.
I have the Rear Kitchen model, beautiful view out the kitchen window. I wanted a model w/ the 'lounge' in back for the panoramic view out all 3 huge windows. But, the ex had to have this model, so I'm stuck w/ it,until I can see my way clear to sell it & get the one I wanted!
The windows in the LD motorhomes are wonderful! They're insulated & polorized (not just tinted). They don't let heat/cold in & aford a great deal of privacy as well. And... they are huge! I've seen so many RV's w/ tiny windows... what's up w/ that? I go places to see them! If I'm in the RV, I still want to be able to see out!
I've put 250W of photovoliac panels on the roof & 660aH of batteries in the bank. Can you tell I'm a boondocker? I'm looking at retrofitting it w/ LED lights throughout the coach. I have some that are spots & I'm figuring out the plans for LED fixtures that are for more general lighting.
Now, if I can only figure out a way for a long, hot, luxuraint shower w/ a gallon & a half of water! So far the best I've been able to come up w/ is escapees boondocking lot & use their shower. But... they don't have parks on the lake in the rockies. I'm thinking of a bag shower, stored on the roof w/ a curtain on the side of the coach. Be heavy to haul in, but water the trees & light to haul out. Still couldn't have showers as long as I want, but it's a start!
