Moved From Class A to 5th Wheel

After having the Coachmen Mirada for 2 years we decided to try a 5th wheel. This is our new to us Jayco Eagle 243RK.

How is it one careless match can start a forest fire but it takes a whole box to start a campfire?

we just did the same thing. Hated to give up the motorhome, but felt with the price of gas always going up. That it was the best thing to do for us. Our floor plan is more roomier than the mh., but miss the convenience of traveling in a motorhome.

We liked the motorhome but the 5th wheel is roomier and we had the truck ( Sierra 2500) that sat most of the time. DW and the kids used it for towing a horse trailer to shows. Now the kids are grown and ..... It averaged less than 5000 miles a year and I couldn't see maintaining 2 vehicles that had minimal use.

We went the opposite direction (5th wheel to MH) earlier this year. They both have different positive attributes as you already know. At the time we owned a 5th wheel it was a better fit for our life than a MH. As times changed the MH made more sense for us. Who knows, we may be in a 5th wheel again at some point. Enjoy!
