I finally purchased a 30' Winebago Sightseer class A. Over the years, I have tent camped, had two slide-ins and a 22' travel trailer. My wife has been a good sport trying to get comfortable with my camping equipment. We actually were planning to purchase a class C but just for fun, we looked at the class A. My wife said, "why are you looking at a bus?" We test drove the 31' class C and they drove the class A. My wife could not believe the grand view out the front and side windows in the class A. She was sold!
Now we need to start planning weekend trips.
Cheers.

Congratulations on the new rig, hope you will enjoy it for many years to come.
We just made the plunge from a class C (31' Minnie) to a class A and really love it so far. Now if I can just get some of the bugs worked out....

"hope you don't drive as fast as another on this thread."
O come on, 007, the speed limit is 75, Sometimes we have to squeeze a lot into a short weekend.
Hope you enjoy your 1st class A Big Red lancer, we really like the big windshield too, except I wish it had a bigger sun visor some times.
One thing that I don't like about our Damon Daybreak is the rear jacks. They ride only maybe 5or 6" off the road when fully retracted. I guess there is'nt much I can do about it tho.I just better be careful.
This is my first MH with a battery disconnect switch. When and why should use it? To prevent discharge? or to keep the batteries from overcharging while plugged into shore power at home? Is it Ok to disconnect the battery switch when plugged into 110 volts?
Thanks for your help.
Oh yea, where's the Damon owners forum?

Big Red Lancer, Congratulations on the purchase of your new Class A. We had a 96 Minnie Winnie 31' and went to a 04 Winnebago Adventurer and really like it. You'll get used to the big windshield and it is nice to look around except when you are driving. I see a lot of Sightser's out there so it must be popular. Good Luck and safe traveling.
Tom
