Hi everyone,

I just joined the forum and thought I'd stop by here first. This is my first RV and it's a 1995 Fleetwood Southwind 35pw 35' widebody with the Ford 460 engine and a Banks Power System. I picked it up for a "song". It's got some problems as expected but I can't wait to begin my new RV lifestyle. I'm sure I'll have a lot of questions over the next few weeks as I get it prepped.

Our first motorhome was a '91 Southwind, on an Oshkosh chassis, Ford 460. Always be cognizant of that long back overhang!

May you enjoy many happy (s)miles in it.

Congrats on the purchase of your new to you rig and welcome in joining the group here. Plenty of good advice passed along so if you have questions ask them as there is a wealth of knowledge here. Our first rig when we got back into rv'ing was a 94 Fleetwood Bounder 32H on the Ford chassis. Also had the 460, great motor and had a lot of power. When traded it had 116K miles and still running strong. Again Good Luck with everything you endure and Happy Motoring!!!!

Congratulations on your new MH. Its the greatest way to travel. If you need immediate answers you can stop into the irv2 chatters chat room any evening from 9-10 EST. Lots of good people there.
Hopefully spring will come here and we can get our rig out to enjoy again.
