November we took delivery of our new 270 Crusader 5'er. What a great driving experience compared to our 30 Sunnybrook Travel Trailer. Did not realize the experience would be that noticeable, but it is. Our first trip was down to Savannah Georgia to Skidaway State Park. Wish I could say the experience was something to write home about, but it wasn't. Had some break in issues that our dealer is working on with Forest River...Tough getting parts when you need them, been waiting now three weeks for a new entertainment center cabinet????

Our new Crusader has finally found its way home, that is after over thirty plus days at the dealership having the new entertainment cabinet repaced for the second time...got home with with the coach and low and behold, the bedroom door tracks had pulled loose from the ceiling and the door was just lying across the bed..No, we did not take it back, I fixed the darn thing myself, no doubt better than the dealer could have done....this has been a lesson in patience for sure..now maybe we can get to hit the road one day soon...

LOL!! I think many of us decide we'd just rather fix minor stuff ourselves than deal with service departments. Glad you got the new rig home.

I would at least take pictures and document the problem / repair. Then send a letter to both the dealer and manufacturer.

Hope you get the kinks worked out and have a great time in your new 5er.

Think we are on the road to recovery..most everything has either been repaired or replaced...The new Lug Nuts went on yesterday, I did those myself..dealer furnished the new ones...The only thing remaining is the house keeping problem in the Plumbing Area...Photo's of same have been sent to all interested parties. The Hot Water heater will have to come out to gain access to the Hoses, Piping , Wiring and other stuff...sure would hate to work in there right now.
One thing that I found out yesterday was, when a fuse pops in the coverter, it has a light next to the fuse that went bad, that is really kool...
