Thanks for asking. The first trip was a 50/50 success. The RV is great, but the air conditioning needs some work. It was 115* outside and 96* inside. The RV is now at CampingWorld for repairs.

Hmmm ... we bought a brand new 2012 Itasca Meridian 36M last year. We attended the GNR last July (it was really hot!) and had the same problem. We suffered through the heat and took it to our dealer on the way home to check it out. Dealer said the A/C was working fine and we should just leave it on High Cool, not Auto.

This year, about a week ago, we were in Wichita Falls, Texas, and the A/C couldn't cool the coach down. Turns out the rear air unit had a faulty relay and wouldn't start. The front unit was doing all the work and simply couldn't handle the load.

Coincidence or common problem?

When the temps soar, its hard for AC to keep up, but it becomes a pressure cooker if the AC doesn't work at all. Hope you get it all fixed and can move on to realy enjoying your rig.

Good news. We took the new RV back to CampingWorld and they fixed the air conditioning. We are really looking forward to taking it out for a 4-day weekend over Independence Day. Wish us luck!

If I may ask what was the problem and what did they do to repair it?
Have a good trip.

Nice looking rig ! A big jump from your old one ,a few issues are expected ,we had a few ourselves with our '05 Adventurer, most of which I took care of myself ,but alas we are going fulltime next year and the Adventurer doesn't fit our needs so we purchased a 5th wheel. Good luck and many happy memories and miles !!!

Gary,

The generator had a loose wire and when it shut itself off, I think it tripped one of the breakers. I looked at them, but I guess I didn't se that it had tripped. Wish us luck this weekend. If the heat doesn't break, we expect it to be 110 plus so the a/c is vital.

Thanks so much. I am learning more and more about it every time we take it out. I can't wait until we go full time next year!
