New forum member, also new to RVs. Picked up our Itasca Viva 23L in May, have put 4500 miles on it. Went up and down the Rockies with surprising ease. We liked the bathroom on the 23B, but we opted for the 23L because we wanted the dedicated bed. Our gas mileage is the same as what Iceman567 is getting with his Viva.

Put a blue ox base plate on my 2013 smart car and I see why people pay others to do this. My son-in-law did most of the work though. Took us about 6 hrs. Did a short tow today and didn't know it was back there. Going to AR tomorrow and will let everyone how it went. If your going to do it yourself, email me and maybe I can help with suggestions.

We are waiting on our 23L to arrive from Forest City. We almost bought a 31KP but decided the drive ability to get around without a toad bet fit our needs.

Any thoughts on outfitting?

Just bought a new Trend 23L. Have not picked up yet. We elected to keep the 35K Bounder for the longer trips with the dogs.
Please let us know about the Blue-ox tow package. That is what I have on the Bounder and like it a lot.

We picked up our new Trend 23B 2 months ago. We just took some weekend trips so far. Like it so far. MPG is in the same range. Looking forward to some longer ones next summer. Happy camping.
