Well we finally decided it was time to Ungrade. We have started with a 2006 Dodge Mega Cab 2500 HD Cummins Turbo Diesel . The next step will be a Toy Hauler.
This be it.....

Congratulations on the new Dodge. Now, lesson #1 - the engine is a Cummins (no "g")!

Jim, Congratulations on purchasing your new Dodge with the Cummin's, I've had sevral Dodges with the Cummin's combination, the last one being the H.O. with the 6-speed transmisson, enjoy. Ed.S
P.S. are you a member of the turbo diesel registry for Dodge/Cummin's Owner's.

I'll second the TDR. I have learned lots, saved lots, and enjoyed the comraderie of the fellow Cummins owners.

Congrats on the new truck.

Thanks John and Phil:

We now have almost 800 miles and get the break control on tomarrow, my plans are to get the pop-up after the control is on and take it for a ride.
Phil we have been told to follow the break in close to be safe so we past the first 500 miles and now need to tow for 500 under 50 mph Still wont be able to see what it will do with the trailer on the hills with more power. We are hoping to get a Desert Fox soon and have talked the kids into letting us tow their WW for a bit also , hope to put a few hundered with the 3400 lb pop-up this weekend then take the WW to Yuma next week. . Yes ,so far we love it, its the Mega cab and now everyone wants to sit in the back. Have fun.

diesel truck resource Dave Fritz's Ram Page diesel central Above are some good websites to glean information, I'm sure there are others. I still have my 96 CTD and can't part with it, but our new 40' Grand Junction is just more than should be towed with BR2500HD pickup. Even with that wonderful Cummins B5.9 for power, there was too much weight. I bought a K3500 Duramax just for towing, and use my CTD for a daily driver now.
