Paired as shown with my 2001 Ram Cummins 3/4 ton Camper Special. (identical to 3500srw/drw model)
Cat Scales showed on the trip home:
4060lb front axle
5960lb rear axle
10760lb trailer axle
20,760gcwr unloaded except for the truck being loaded with all of our commercial setup stuff for work.
No individual component is overloaded.
Truck axles are rated 4500# front 7500# rear Tires 6820#
Switching to 19.5" rims and semi tires to gain more tire capacity, right now I am ~800lbs under the tire rated capacity.
Hitch is mounted so center of kingpin is 2" forward of rear axle, will be moving this back to take some pressure off the front axle.
Exceeding gvwr and gcwr by 1200lbs and 760lbs respectively, unloaded. No sway on turns, disc brakes and mor ryde suspension on coach, I know I'll be fine even loaded.
Does anyone have Any recommendations?
