"New to us!"

Just bought our first Class A and can't wait to get to take it out! We shopped around with a budget since this is our first time RVing and we are so proud of our find! A 1999 Coachmen Catalina with a single slide. Its interior has been updated/remodeled with new carpet, tile, window treatments and all furniture reupholstered. The color scheme is a contemporary black, tan, and ivory with splashes of red in the bedroom and bathroom. It is clean inside and out and we have some experienced RV friends that have assured us we got more than a good deal! We have spent these first few weeks getting new shoes, new shed, a "new to us" tow dolly and all the "necessities" finally stocked. I am so ready for a road trip! We only had the chance to stay overnight at a local park before the weather forced us to winterize it.

Looks good. It would help to have a little more info regarding chassis, miles, etc.
Since I live in the state also if you have any questions, we are all just a post away.

Since you have few miles under your belt if anything crops up let us all know. I hope your shakedown cruise is not to far from home just in case you run into a mechanical issue.

Thanks! Its a Ford Chassis with a Triton V10 with 47,000 miles. Haven't had a really good shakedown cruise yet as the park was just minutes from the house but it did give us a chance to test most of the immediate necessities like furnace, stove, holding tanks etc while we were close enough to the house to easily address any problems found...none it has a 7kw onan genny that runs strong. Haven't found any problems we weren't aware of at time of purchase (needed new tires and new rubber seal around windshield etc) and we have spent our time ticking down that list so its all done.

RLCO6,

Congratulations on the new rig. My husband and I are also looking at older. Went to a recent RV show and although the new ones have a lot of bells and whistles, I prefer the older ones. I don't want all that other stuff, doesn't work for us.

We will be buying summer of 2015 if we find the right rig. I am ready but haven't found it yet. Hope you enjoy yours a bunch.

That's a good looking coach, the inside colors sound really nice. Good luck and hope you enjoy your new toy.
