New to us Cougar 25RET

Well the wife and I dropped the hammer today.

We purchased a 2014 Cougar 25RET.
It was pretty much optioned out. The odd thing about it is the dining area. The slide out contain an "L" shaped sectional sleeper sofa. The table is free standing. The kitchen is in the very rear of the unit.

It has the "Platinum Package" and the "Polar Package" although I'm not sure what that implies. It came with a true queen sized memory mattress and a Blue Ox WDH.

We checked out the water systems, frig, stove, electric and gas water heater, furnace and A/C, all worked. I like that a simple switch allows us to fill the tank or run on city water, no hole in the side type fill.

It has brakes on all four wheels, electric tongue jack with bubble level and spot lights focused on hitch so setting up in the dark will be easier.

Manual stab jacks. It has an air purge system for winter storage.

It has a hot water bypass, what ever that is.

Wife and I are anxious to take it out and have some fun. It weighs about 600 pounds less than what we did our test tow with and that worked out fine and that was with a lesser quality WDH.

Wish us luck!!

Good luck with your purchase. Your hot water bypass is used when winterizing. It's always a learning curve but enjoyable learning. Safe travels.
