My wife and I are life time long campers, both grew up camping with family and met her on a camping trip. When we got married we continued to camp, tent on first anniversary, then on to pop-up when kids came, then series of travel trailers as they grey, from 24' to 26' to 30', now what I guess is the next logical step, 34' class A. We recently bought a 2004 National RV Seabreeze 1341. Having a great time learning about the rig, found a few problems that needed attention, but no major issues, and loving it. Took second trip this past weekend, learn a little new each time but doing great. Surprised at how easy to drive, actually no more challenging than trailer rig. Just getting used the the fact that it doesn't bend in the middle!! First big trip coming up is the Disney World trip with grandkids. Should be a blast. We have been doing once or twice a year with grands, but always a special treat.

Never thought I would go to an A, but was faced with replacing my truck and found that for same, or less money, I could buy a used A. Only thing I am sad about is the number of units that I looked at that were the retirement dream for the owners only to lose a spouse and have those dreams dashed. Sad for me to hear the stories, and out of the 5 that we looked seriously at, that was the case in 4 of them. The one we bought was from a woman who lost her husband and had to sell the rig. She seems to take some comfort in knowing that it is bringing joy and fun to another family. The circle of life for an RV I guess.

Just a warning, I will be in these forums trying to gain the benefit of the experiences of all you great folks.

Glad to see you here! We also took the step to a Class A about 10 years ago when I too discovered for the same money that I had in my truck and 5th wheel, I could drive a Class A. We also found our type of camping had changed, from lake weekends to traveling the US. The Class A made a lot more sense.

Always sad to hear stories like that but glad that it will bring you and your grandkids more memories to talk about for years to come. Safe, trouble free travels to Disney.

Congratulations on the Class A upgrade. With all your experience the learning curve should be pretty short. If you should have any questions there so many helpful people here that you'll be sure to get some good answers.
