Newbe to the site with a New to me Fleetwood 39S pusher

Hello all,
My name is Brett & I'm new to this Forum. Not new to being on forums though. Anyways just wanted to start off my adventure with iRV2.com here in this thread.
I live in Sunny Southern California and just picked up a 2004 Fleetwood 39S Excursion. I've owned a ToyHauler Tag trailer for 14 years so I'm very familiar with holding tanks and batteries/inverter and Generators but looking to find some good tips, great places to go to with the family and meet some new friends on here.
Here's my new coach

Congratulations on the new ride! One question, have you corner weighed the rig with it loaded to go? With the extension you have on the back and a nearly 40ft nontag chassis you might want to be sure you are not overloading the rear axle. Just sayin...

Thanks man. Ya I've been saving for some years now & really been picky on waiting to buy the exact Moho I wanted. Had to have all the stuff to fit my family and also have the good paint scheme. One good thing about it taking so ling to find, I was able to keep saving and purchase it with out getting a loan.

No , never weighed the corners. The last owner towed a 24' enclosed trailer and also pulled a car with a tow bar. Not saying he was in the right but just never really thought about that much because of what he did and also the motorcycle rack is rated at 950 Lbs holding and a tow rate of 8k pull / 500 lbs tongue weight.

Not so much worried about weight you are towing, more worried about the weight leveraging off the rear axle due to motocycle carrier. The trailer and toad (double tow) probably did not add much weight to rear axle, just to towing ability.

We have a 2004 Fleetwood Discovery 39S that we bought 3 years ago. Would love to talk to you about a battery issue. New batteries 3 weeks ago but they drain even when everything turned off. Also have switch on drivers side pane with a battery symbol that doesn't seem to do anything.

NOt sure I could be of much help. Since I JUST bought my coach 2 weeks ago. The Battery rocker switch located up high In the side cabinet next to the drivers side should be a MAIN battery on/off.
You sure your inverter is working correctly?

Smile Thanks

We will be checking that today. Just installed new King Jack antenna yesterday so we have been busy.

That rocker switch isn't inside a cabinet, it is on the side of the driver on a panel about elbow height. We thought it would be a shut off but it doesn't seem to do anything. Will let you know what we find.

Headed to Florida for seven months in October, check out Motorcoach Resort in St Lucie West.
