Newby 5th wheeler practicing for retirement.

Looking for advice on a 5th wheel hitch. Just bought a 29 foot Jayco last weekend and just bought a 2008 F350 with 6.4 Powerstroke diesel today. Now I need a hitch. The truck has the 81 inch bed and I am reading and hearing different things about the hitch for a short-bed truck. If anyone has any good advice on what to get I sure would appreciate it.

Hello Mark, you might want to post this is the 5th Wheel Section of this board. You might have better results. Good luck with your findings.

I'm useing a Curt Q20 (20,000 lb) and it is a great hitch. I don't have a slider as I have a longbed truck. They do make a slider if you decide to go with it. You can get one on Amazon (a 15,000 lb) for $581.00 so the price is right. I got mine on Amazon.

Search the forums for "Which hitch". There's an entire thread on hitches. Our hitch is outlined over there. Have fun and good luck!
