In earlier posts I had mentioned and inquired about a Winnebago Ultimate Advantage my DW an I are interested in purchasing. We had even planned on doing the PDI last weekend. But mother nature has not been on our side. We are on the Oregon Coast and the UA is in the Portland area, Hillsboro to be exact. Last week we got 6" of snow here at the beach and it has only gotten above freezing yesterday. Driving through the coast range has been icy, not a good time to be driving a MH.
Things started thawing here but Portland got ice and 3" of snow yesterday.
The Dealership has been very understanding and we are hoping maybe next week for the big day.

Thanks for keeping us updated, Paul! We are in No. Cal so I understand the weather thing. This is the first morning in almost a week that our pool was not covered with a sheet of ice!

We expect pictures the day after you do finally do the PDI-since we all have had to wait so long!

The weather is moderating here in Hillsboro a bit today. I would not advise moving the motor home until this nasty weather is over - maybe next week.

Olinger is about 4 miles away from me and there lot is pretty well snowed in (by Or-E-Gun) standards right now. They also have a pretty decent reputation here locally.

I took my 07 Ford Ranger down to Ford to have the Neutral Tow Kit installed so I can take my Ambassador and truck down to Salem next Wednesday to be mated for towing 4 down. Hope, like you, that the weather cooperates.

When you pick it up - give 4 blasts on your air horn - I'll know it's you!!

Good Luck!

The weather in Oregon is back to normal. That means I can finally pick up the UA. I called the dealer last Sunday to make an appointment for this week. They have me comming in Saturday.
They also have gotten the MH into there shop for repairs/replacements/touchups that my wife and I noted on previous visits. Their tech called me with some questions about a couple of noted items. We had a long talk and I was pleased that he had corrected/tested/replaced a couple of items that we had not noted. He said that he was going over the coach "top to bottom".
I am very pleased to far and overwhelmed at the courtesy and competence of the staff at the dealership.
Saturday will be the day.

Paul

Paul-
Good Luck on your trip to the dealership on Saturday! Take plenty of pictures. We expect to see some of them by Sunday AM!!

Will you be bringing your new one home on Saturday, as well?

Yes, we hope to bring her home Saturday barring any needed repairs or corrections.

The UA will have to sit outside until we sell our Hawkins, which should be soon.

Please post pics when you get them.

You can get some free space at Webshots or Photobucket and then post a link here.

I would really like to see what you got!!!
