One Purchase...Two Big Leaps

Coming back from my annual trek to Oshkosh this year I found what I hope will be the potentially most useful motor home for our use...ever!

First it is a large modified FRED (Damon 3808). I have always used gas & only up to 30 ft. However, this motor home even though suffering from severe lack of maintenance performed very admirably on the way back to Phoenix from Illinois...including some very steep mountain grades here in AZ. It performed equal to my then current V-10 1999 Rexhall with Banks and Gear Vendors over/under tranny ( in background on photo). With proper maintenance finished I expect it will blow it away!

Secondly, it will be able to haul, inside, my most prized "toy"...while fully protecting it from the elements...up to now, been hauling with open trailer. As an aside, all the other travels such as with Samurai and fishing boat and gear will be no problem, or just plain travelling.

Thanks,

Mike

I have a feeling there will be a lot of surprised people when you open the rear end of that toy hauler and pull out your toy! Nice rig!

Where do the rotors ride? Just curious.

Hello all,

Thank you for the kind comments!
To Scottybedivin...I still have some things to do, like build a blade carrier which will attach to the pass side wall. The blade's length will fit with 1" to spare. Also will be making a fold up Queen bed for the opposite wall, since all that and the overhead loft was removed by the original purchasers when they made it into a rolling classroom for their business. I wanted an electric drop down, but that does not allow enough room for the mast of the helicopter to come in as it goes up the little incline just inside the door!

Thank you,

Mike
