Our 1999 Holiday Rambler Endeavor

We bought our rig 1 year ago on June 29th 2010. We have had many issues, mostly with the dealer we bought from fixing one thing while breaking another but to give them some credit they did paint the rear bumper without charging us so while we won't buy from them again we do acknowledge that they did some things right, they did many more things wrong, including not fixing the black tank issues but we are with the right dealer now and the issues are being dealt with.

This picture was taken on our first outing the day we bought the rig.

This picture is from the first outing with family on July 25th 2010, and after I spent 8 hours detailing it, most of the outing after that was for me to recover!

Interior shot with new wood floor installed. We are going to have a new floor installed in the bathroom and new carpet install at the end of this years season.

Looks very, very clean. Hopefully the past is the past and you can start really enjoying it.

What products did you use to clean?

Could you list the product and it's use ?

Oh, if you are ever in the northern NJ area and have some time to kill stop by!

Thumbs up

I will never complain about it taking 3 hours to wash and wax my Class B again. It is a good feeling to have it look nice, isn't it? Nice rig to say the least.

We just had the slide topper replaced, the dealer we bought from supposedly replaced it, what we found out is they replaced the fabric and left the broken slide topper locks alone. While on our way back from our first outing this past March the 60mph+ winds ripped the awning apart, had the locks been in place this wouldn't have happened.

We were clueless about the locks until we went to get it repaired and they as us if we had locked it or left it unlocked. They then showed us where the locking mechanism should have been and it clearly hadn't been there for sometime. It was dumb luck it didn't happen prior to then.

Since they don't make the topper our unit has they had to use a new style so we lose the awning portion and there will be mounting holes we have to get repaired by a body shop after we pick it up from the dealer.

I'll be going up tomorrow to check it out and take some pictures. One more step to all issues being resolved!

I used dawn dishwashing liquid to wash the rig, rubber roof cleaner and treatment to do the roof, can't remember the brand however.

I used Meguiers #6 to wax the front of the rig and the rear bumper, ran out of time to do the sides but they need to be buffed out so having that done this summer.

I waxed the wheel simulators and used Eagle brand tire shine on the tires.

I was unable to move my arms after words, not sure what did me in the most, the roof or waxing the wheel liners.

TV replacement

Here is the TV replacement I did this past March.

Here is the before, with the old 20inch tube TV that caused the entire dash to dance over bumps.

I have to make a plate with connectors for the cable, HDMI and 12 volt plug soon but here is how the TV looks after I installed it.

New slide topper... the pictures are a bit fuzzy, I had to use my cell phone and it wasn't in the mood to focus.

Before...

After, they also had to fill in the holes left behind from the previous topper.
