Our Brand New Canned Ham!

We rang in the new year camping in our brand new canned ham - a custom build, my design. It was improved, engineered and built by Cozy Cruiser of Eugene Oregon.

Thanks for the positive comments, everyone! This has been a long time coming, and we are looking forward to lots of time outdoors, now that she is done.

The mattress rests on slats, for ventilation (Don't ask how much I know about mold under a futon mattress!) and they are built in sections. the middle one lifts, with the plywood, to access the storage space and 30 gallon water tank, as well as giving inside access to the electrical components. You can also see the hatch, which will have mosquito netting attached, for ventilation and views on warmer nights.

The brothers Egli, who built the trailer, decided on the leaded glass panels, for a little bed privacy. The emergency egress window is at the foot of the bed. It is hinged on the top, so no worries about using it and having to pick broken glass off the ground.

We have a tankless water heater that will hang on the driver's side, hook to water and then supply hot water to the outdoor shower.
