Our new 2020 Thor Freedom Traveler

Picking it up on Friday after the PDI. I did download the PDI checklist posted on here.
We’ve been RVers for quite some time but Motor-homing is new to us. Trading in our TT and getting excited to test this new one out.
Funny thing was the day we looked at it, they let me take it home for the night to try it out. Glamping will be so much easier now.
Any advice before I sign on the dotted line?
Thanks in advance.
Tim

That all said there is a vocal group of unhappy owners (and their parrots who've never owned a Thor product) to routinely rain on parades.

My Four Winds was built prior to Thor purchasing the brand and the units Thor is building for Cruise America (my 23a is a retired rental unit) seem to be built to the same basic standard as my 15 year old unit. I was in a newish Thor class C for a couple of days and wasn't impressed but neither was I discouraged when compared to newish units from non-Thor builders.

Go over your new unit with a fine-tooth comb - try out EVERY feature. Fill the holding tanks with water and then dump them. Hook up to city water and check for leaks in the kitchen, bath, wet bay and outdoor shower. Look for screws that aren't fully driven. If you have slide rooms operate them several times in each direction. NOW is the best time to find things and have the dealer fix them before final acceptance of the RV. Getting stuff fixed after they've got your money is typically a long and frustrating experience, generally regardless of brand.

I hope you have many safe and fun miles ahead of you.

Thanks for the input. We did take it home the other night and messed around with everything except the water system and generator. Those will be gone through during the PDI. There were a few things identified when I took it back.
The door seemed to have been sprung at the bottom and they supposedly already filed a claim on it but the manufacturer is on backorder. I WILL verify it before signing anything.
This is a 27’ Class A and lacks a lot of the bells and whistles most bigger units have. It was built for Camping World/Gander Outdoors. We are buying the paint/fabric protection as well as a 7 year/75,000 miles extended warranty.

Google is your friend....use it to do your homework on any manufacturer you are considering.
