This is our new 2005 Itasca Horizon 40AD. We picked it up last Wednesday and drove to Savannah GA this past weekend. Wow what a difference from our 2000 Horizon. That 400 hp Cummins sure is sweet. The Trip Tech indicated that I was averaging 7.6 MPG. Ouch!! Oh well, I knew I would not get the same as the 275 hp.

Hey Woody, Welcome to the world of Horizon, we also have an '05 40FD, we really love ours nad we have liveed full time in ours since September of '08. Dont look much past the 7.6, I have got it as high as 7.9 when running on flat ground with the cruise button on, and yes wow that 400 Cummins is a dream and the coach just floats down the hiway.

So what are your plans?

Congrats, we have a 2004 40KD, we have had some troubles along teh way, but it handles very well. Our average is around 7.6 mpg, but it has plenty of power so I don't complain. Enjoy your coach!
