That is the type of ride that when we see them driving down the road we just look in awe and say that must be nice. It also sparks a "if i won the lottery" conversation.
Have fun

Vic, my wife and I are picking up our Discovery 40G this Saturday. What has your experience been so far? We have heard stories of people having long punch lists of things that aren't right at delivery. This is our first new coach and we want things to be right when we pick it up.

I'm afraid our experience has not been any different. We have had numerous delays and fixes before we brought it home. We still have several small items that need to be fixed. Most of the items are not necessarily related to the manufacturer but the secondary manufacturers that supply them. For instance, we needed a replacement washer from whirlpool.

The best advice is to take it all in stride. This is our second new motorhome and the first was no different. Once the repair list is taken care of things usually go well after that. Some people get lucky but don't count on it. The industry really doesn't have much in the way of quality control. The customers are essentially the quality control.

It's a sad truth but my opinion, for what it's worth, is to make your peace with the process. If you were to walk into a store and buy 40 to 50 different products for your house, a few of them would probably need to be replaced or repaired.

Vic, I noticed in one of your pictures that your CO detector is blocking the cabinet door from opening just like it does in ours. Are you living with it or trying to get it moved? What has been the response from your dealer?

Living with it mostly. Placement makes NO sense but it's not something that bothers me all that much. Dealer is mostly doing what they are supposed to be doing.
