Our vacation home has wheels!

We are so excited to buy our first RV. We have rented in the past. Took our coach on a "maiden" voyage. All went well. Can't wait to hit the road again.

Congratulations and welcome to the forum!

Getting through your maiden voyage is a big step... especially since nothing went wrong.

Thank you Rick, et al.

We found a few minor things and took it back to the dealer for repairs. Boy, it sure takes them a looong time to take care of things.

Overall, nothing major. We made sure to use everything except the heater.

I see you are in Litchfield, we are in Maricopa. Not too far away. I hope the hot, hot June isn't getting to you.

Howdy neighbor. Yeah, the heat's pretty brutal, huh? I played golf this morning and even though we teed off at 7am it I was melting.

We can't wait to hit the road in a couple of weeks. We'll be gone for four months... heading to Minnesota to see family for about a month and then up in to Canada, north around the Great Lakes and then drop down into Maine in time to follow the change of colors down the eastern seaboard.

Dealers really can take a long time to do warranty repairs. Don't be shy about staying on top of them and explaining just when you have to have the coach back. They're called "dealers" for a reason.

Take care and travel safely.

Rick

Congratulations! Your coach looks about the same size as one we just recently bought and we are neighbors! Gilbert, AZ. Bought in April and have been on 5 trips so far. Kids are loving it. Just got back from a week in Show Low at Fools Hollow Lake. Awesome place. Always looking for other RVers in AZ to go camping with. Enjoy!

Thanks for the reply! Yours looks good too! We are freshly back from Flagstaff, our second trip. The weather was great up there. We are looking for folks to RV with as well and since we are fairly new to AZ we don't know too much about where the cool spots are to camp. (Cool both figuratively and literally!) Please feel free to send me a private message with contact info. Maybe we can work something out.

Although you don't want to do it for a few months yet, you might check out the Tombstone area and nearby Kartchner Caverns.

Will keep in mind for cooler weather. We really enjoyed Flagstaff. Since we only have a few days at a time presently we are thinking about a Rim trip soon.
