We're thinking of replacing our 2004 Winnebago Sightseer 30B with a new class A Diesel, but we'd like one that isn't any longer than 32 to 34 feet and no TALLER than 11'6" or so. We've found the Damon Avanti and the Four Winds Serrano, both class A diesel's. Any advice or recommendations on the new front engine diesels? Thank you!

We were in the same position 2 years ago. My suggestion is to drive many motorhomes, gas, diesel, front engine and pusher. We ended up purchasing a 38' pusher even though we started looking for a 32 to 34'. I liked the ride, additional cargo carring capacity and the lower noise level that a longer DP has. Our MH is 12' tall which has not been a problem.
Does the front diesel have air ride suspension? Again drive many motorhomes and make your decision. Each motorhome we have owned, we started out looking for a one thing and ended up buying something different.

Did you ever have the opportunity to test drive either the Avanti or the Serrano? Just curious, I was interested in the Serrano until we happened accros the Suncruiser we now have, fell in love with the floorplan! Still interested in hearing what the Serrano is like.

Well, after test driving MANY (but not the Avanti or the Serrano), we ended up with a 2003 Fleetwood Providence 39P!! So much for the 32 or 34 footers and the height! We're in the process of building a brand, new barn that's 44' long with a 14' door! We pick it up on Monday! I can't wait for our first trip out in it!
