Shakedown Run

First outing in our new 2017 Vacationer 36X. Dealer gave a test drive around the block flipped us the keys said thanks for the check & waved goodbye Having driven Fire apparatus like a 100 ft Ariel platform I wasn't overly worried about handling the rig but just getting use to it on the 45 min drive home. Squeezed her into the driveway and commenced emptying the 4 bedroom house into the MH. Set out the next week for a 5 day maiden voyage from PA. to Chesapeake Bay , Virginia. OOps Forgot about the Chesapeake Bay Bridge, Ya well change of shorts and we're good to go...Got to the Camp grounds got set up & cracked open a bottle of RELAXATION.

We got a chance to use all the systems, Showering, Laundry, Dumping tanks, Generator, Cooking and just the day to day of RV living.

The rig checked out relatively well, only a few adjustments needed by the Warranty team at the dealer Like the hot & cold water lines being reversed under the kitchen sink & also a leaky drain trap, a few bulbs burned out, Shower door needed realigning & someone at the factory took a long lunch and forgot to install the privacy shade at the dinette window, the list was about 15 items long but then I got extremely anal after just giving them a nice fat check weeks earlier. All in all I can't complain, when we got back the dealer kept her overnight and fixed every issue for $0. and even topped off the propane & winterized it at no charge. Now as soon as we get the house sold or under contract we're off to Florida to do some house shopping, then Westward hoe
