Picked up my 06 F-550 this weekend. Just about have it broke in by driving it home from Indiana to Georgia.

Wow! What a difference from my F-250 with V-10. I am impressed with the 6.0L Powerstroke. It will really scoot once the turbo spools up.

But, moving up in tow capacity has its price. The ride is really harsh. I-65 has some places in it that made my teeth jar. But that is okay, I am getting a bunch of nice new "gadgets" like air-ride suspension, integrated brake controller, in-dash navigation and more that will help me forget about the harsh ride. Besides, once I get her broke in I'll be putting some weight on her with my 5'er and that should smooth things out a little.

That sounds like a heck of a deal. Now you'll need to buy a bigger fiver to match It.

The upfitter is Classy Chassis. They are based in Valparaiso, IN.

It is one-stop-shopping with them. They do just about anything you want (except mods to the engine). The air ride system is the cat's meow. Having the dump valve for hitching up and then an automatic leveling after closing the dump takes out the guess work and fussing around to get things right.

They were pretty sharp about how they did the electronics, and really all the electrical sub-systems. To be sure that Ford could not cry foul during any warranty work, Classy Chassis has designed a completely isolated fuse panel. The only thing they tapped was the power.

Jperry, I can see why you would be PROUD! Just like having a new baby at the house. I love my 06,6.0 with 4.10s. Pulls the little HitchHiker just great. We are shopping for a larger trailer. Enjoy your new ride.
