Nice unit. Classy colors.

Does the MA have the same tire size all way round?

Gordon, I believe so. Thought I had it in my notes, but I didn't explicitly write down all tire sizes. Pretty sure they were the same. I noted the drive tires were Michelin 315/80R22.5. The steer tires are a year old and will move to the tag and there will be 6 new Michelins when we take delivery in spring.

Thanks Dennis. We looked at an 11 Ventana 4333 as well and it was really nice, but in the end we got a better deal on the Mountain Aire.

Our WGO has bigger tires on the drive axle to get the capacity for the axle. Not required on the drive and tag as they do not carry as much weight.

I suspect that is the case with yours. I think you have a 20,000 steer axle and the drive axle would be rated around 20,000. Tag would be 10,000 so drive and tag would not need as big tires to carry the weight.

Thanks for your concern, but since this is the "New Rig Show-off!" section (implying already purchased) and not one of the the "I need advice on buying" areas I didn't think it necessary to list everything we did before purchasing the coach. We're all set. We own it and and are comfortable with the inspection that was done. Thanks again.

Gordon,

Actually, according to specs, the front IFS (steer) GAWR is 16,000. The rear is in fact 20K and the tag 10K. Making a GVWR of 46K and GCWR of 61K. Aprox NCCC is 9766#.

As far as I can see from my higher res original photos I took, they all appear to be 315/80R22.5 tires on all axles. The fronts are 1 year old and the drive & tag are original but fronts will move to the tag and the other 6 will be replaced with new Michelins before we take delivery in late April.

Sorry - CORRECTION

Our WGO has bigger tires on the steer axle (295). The drive and tag axles both have smaller tires (275).

Beautiful! I hope you start a thread following your trip home when you pick it up in April. I am 5-8 years away from retirement so am living the RV life variously through others like yourself right now until my time comes!

Don nice Motor Home. We just had a couple buy a 2008 Mountain Aire 45' at our storage facility. I took it to the truck stop for fuel about 15 miles and it drove amazing with comfort steer. Good buy.

Thanks for the kind words all. We're down to 70 days before we get it out of heated storage and set it up for full timing as we sell our house to hit the road. We had planned to tow my Honda Accord on a dolly but traded the wife's car for a 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited that we can flat tow. So that'll give me something to do while we wait.... install base plate and get the other necessities. I know we'll be glad to have the ground clearance and the panoramic moonroof is almost the size of our dining room table and will be almost like a convertible on nice days!

Here's a shot of what we'll be dragging around:

And another shot of what we'll be dragging it with:
