Trilogy 2013 3850

Transfer day, Airstream 2008 Classic 31 Limited meets her replacement. How sad taking the object of such beautiful memories to the orphanage of RVs!

Say Bye Bye

I spent 6 months in Therapy and then like all foster children I turned my back and walked away!

We needed a place to put a garbage can, a king size bed, a proper bed for our 17 year old daughter, and finally a washer and dryer, no more campground laundromats with pet hair in our linen.

Oh yeh and no more Hensley Hitch rubio cube hookups. (They determined our marital disposition that day)

The Airstream is in a class by its own. I only hope that the Trilogy gives us as much pleasure and as little mechanical problems as the Airstream.

Insurance 5 year replacement value almost requires one to trade to keep that insurance as guarding your equity in case of a G_d forbid.

Transfer lot

Yes it is. This lot is especially set up so you can park door to door and spend as much time as you need to do what is necessary. It is probably the happiest place there and at the same time the most confusing and disoriented experience. It is really weird experience the first night parked next to the now orphan of yours. All these RVs are really small compared to a house of course. So much instinctive movement of your body, now adjusting to a new space even if it is larger, clumsy motions. It must be a little like an astronaut. Actually the first few days I wanted to go back to the Airstream, nothing to do with quality or size just a sense of a comfort, a body extension feel that has not kicked in with the new RV yet. We then moved to the campground just as the hurricane Issac had hit so fl, stuck there, thank G_d it went further west than Tampa. Not smart to be stuck in a RV. All we got was a continuous hard rain and winds up to 40mph.
