Watching NASCAR in style

Just added an observation deck on top of our motor home, so we can safely stand up there and watch racing. Just thought there may be somebody else in this forum which would also enjoy having a similar deck on their RV. The deck was installed by TrickFab in Senoia, GA. They have installed many decks on trailers and motor homes.

Very interesting, I would be afraid of all that weight on the roof...just me, I am more comfortable staying close to the ground...lol

nice platform. The sturdy ladder makes it really nice.

look at those curved support brackets that attach to the walls. Im guessing it adds signifcant rigidity to the coach.

Actually, the deck which weights just over 300 lbs does not rest on the roof. It is supported by the side walls by 20 linear feet of rigid support, so the weight is well distributed. The RV does have to have the carrying capacity to drive safely down the road with the added weight of the deck. The curved support brackets are attached to the aluminum framing of the motor homes's exterior wall with screws and it is resting in the gutter.

I saw a fifth wheel last week at myrtle beach with one and had swivel bass boat seats on top what a neat idea. Do the railings come off and lay on the deck for clearance?

The railings are supported along their entire bottom edge with hinges. Front and rear railings fold down first and then side railings fold down on top of them. Threaded fasteners hold the side railings in place when they are folded. One of the fasteners can be seen on the upper side railing slightly off center towards the front. The dip in the upper side railing is so the railing will clear my air conditioner when the railing is folded.

That is so awesome! My "Moto" Home is used primarily for taking to the races and pitting out of etc. I would absolutely love to fashion a deck on top of some sort. Mine is much older and probably much less capable, but that sure would be cool to be able to view more of the track without scrambling about for high ground between moto's! Best Mod I've seen yet!

Love the deck looks awesome . I have been thinking of add something like this to our MH. Going to have to get out to GA soon. Don't think anyone does anything like this in my area. Enjoy the deck
