We finally did it

What a busy week this has been. It all began on Sunday when I bought a 2011 Dodge 3500 4x4 Laramie crew cab truck with the 6.7 Cummins engine. Fully loaded and charcoal gray with dark gray leather/interior. Truck is very nice and I'm loving it.

Then today we traded in our Southwind & HHR SS toad for a new 2010 Cameo 35SB3 5RV. We really loved the floorplan and wanted a 5RV that was built for fulltime living even though we won't be for several more years. Several options on this model and it will be perfect for the DW, me and 7 yr old daughter. Guess I need to update my signature. Here are some pictures of the RV.

Abnmarine: Beautiful setup and fantastic looking cab. Just curious, how quiet is the cab interior. My uncle had a diesel pickup about 10 years ago and it wasn't as quiet as I would have liked. Are the new ones pretty quiet now....

Thumbs up

Congratulations on a SUPER rig there. Enjoy and we thank you for your military service in protecting all of us.

Safe travels and let us know how that first trip goes.

Ron, I was expecting a rough, noisy ride with a diesel truck. I was surprised! It rode nice and was pretty quiet. I only really hear the engine when it idles. Plenty of power too and I see 16 mpg city and 19-20 on the hwy. I have heard this will improve slightly once I get the engine broken in. One guy with a Mobile Suites 5RV claims 12 mpg when towing.

You have had your Dodge for awhile, so you are probably getting a good idea of your fuel mileage. We have the 2010 3500 Mega Cab and are getting 17+ driving here in the mountainous west. Great ride.
