We have a new way to get our junk......

to the track! It is a 1996 28' Coachman Santara. We have been wanting a used MH for about 2 years and I wanted a Ford gas powered chassis so that I am more apt to be able to work on when needed. Most are towing will be flat stuff less than an hour to Sonoma, 5 hours to Bakersfield or 2-1/2 hours to Sacramento so this should easily fit the bill as it can tow around 10k before it hits its GCWR.
We could not pass this deal up on this one from fellow racer and friend as he had bought it new and has kept it like new, inside is incredible and it only has 34k on the clock. This should make our racing experience that much more enjoyable.

Your coach looks very clean. Hard to tell it is a 1996 model.

Your race car looks very mean. Have fun and be safe with both.

And, welcome to iRV2.com!

Thanks for the compliments all! It is a 28QB (queen bed) I wanted this length for the hopes that it would be better towing our trailer. I am going to go weigh the MH and I believe my trailer is about 7500# maybe a bit less. The MH I have read should be around 14,500 - 15k with a GCWR of 25k I should be at least 1k under that we will see. The PO reinforced the hitch a bit and I am going to look into strengthening the framerails if need be? or get a trailer toad or tuff tow. Here are a few more pictures of inside the MH and one or two of the car. The last picture is from a ad we did with Dodge back in 2010.

The RV looks real nice. I use mine to get away from anywhere noisy, like race tracks.

Jon,

Mega Block 501" w/ Indy heads, just short of 800hp, we are currently building a 572" KB aluminum wedge that will be 100# lighter and hopefully a 100hp more that will get hopefully in the high 8's on 91 octane pump gas.

There are videos here if anybody is interested (race car):

racebeeper - YouTube

Thanks again for all the compliments on the coach the wife and I definetley have added a new hobby and there are a few areas I want to make it better and will look here for advice and contribute ideas when I can to help others. It does have a small bubble in the fiberglass under a window probably from moisture intrusion at one time and I have some ideas on a fix for it reeling in my head. LOL Just gotta figure out what glue. I will post more on that later in the appropriate forum.

Love the Challenger.
The original owner took out half the dinette and moved the table forward almost to the passenger seat leaving the other half of the dinette unusable under the table and this also did not allow the passenger seat to rotate around, he also added the comfy chair in place of the missing dinette piece, in this picture you can see that I removed the other piece of dinette now allowing full rotation of the passenger seat so it can be used better for conversation and at the table. Really cleaned it up well, just need to add a transition piece to hide the carpet where it was slit for the seat belts.
I am also getting ready to install a new Vizio 26" Tv mounted on a back plate were the old TV once was as the sound quit working on it, plus wanted to update to a flat screen.
