Well last weekend was the last camping trip for our old F250 460 gasser.
It performed like a champ to the last. It was kinda sad to unhook the fiver from it when we got home Sunday, knowing that it will never pull our camper again. It was a good truck. It slowed on hills, got terrible gas mileage towing, but never overheated or broke down. The hitch comes out this weekend and it gets parked out by the road with a for sale sign stuck on it. We had it ten years of it's 17 year life. Adios
We got it's replacement a week ago. A 2002 F350 7.3 liter PSD auto 4x4 crew cab Lariat dually. We have been driving it around for a week. It is awesome. Nancy and I fuss as to who gets to drive and who is the passenger. Hopefully this weekend I can get the hitch put in. It is super clean and loaded. Seems to have been well taken care of. It has 76,000 miles but looks and drives brand new. Cant wait to take it to the Davis Mountains at end of June for it's first camping trip. Seems to be getting from 15 to 19 MPG empty with mixed highway/town driving.
Why did I wait so long to get a diesel
