Very nice!
DW has asked me several times on what was the reason the mid-entry door went away.

Mike,
Are your MH windows mirrored? (like a tint), Sure looks nice.Speaking of window tint, I read so many times about curtains, drapes, shades. I have been thinking about tinting mine, mostly for sun damange to the interior and having the windshield done like 1/4 to half tinted for that early afternoon sun in the eyes as I am cruising along the highway.
If yours are not would you think about tinting them?.
Again Nice Rig
Tim

Spritz, yes they have a reflective (mirror-like) coating. It keeps the coach much cooler on sunny days and like you mentioned, it may save the drapes and window shades from UV damage. Our previous coach had dark tinting on the side glass, we prefer this reflective coating.
Thanks again to all that have posted. We're loving the new coach.

Congrats!...the WRV was on our short list. In fact it was what we went to look at when we bought our Beaver. Love the mid door..no chance of wind noise from the front door and closer to the fridge!...

What a sharp rig! I didn't know they made a Sun Voyager in rear diesel (I remember looking at a 38ft gas one). How's the quality? are they fiberglass sided or smooth aluminum?
Most manufacturers ditched the mid entry door design for a couple of reasons. Although it was intended to make the front more cozy and part of the main living area, and less like a cockpit merely used for driving, many owners disliked the design over the tradition front door. The main complaint was the annoyance of needing to walk that far back to get out. Many didn't like needing to take shoes off to walk to the driver's seat, then put them on again to drive, or alternately track dirt through it to get to the driver's seat. The 2nd thing was, as a rule, the area directly around an entry door is considered wasted/unusable space, so if you're going to have anywhere, it should in the front, which is also considered wasted floor space, because of the cockpit...although they do their best to incorporate the cockpit into the rest of the coach, with swivel chairs, cabinets etc. The pros outweigh the cons for many, but front door layouts are just easier as unlimited floorplans can be made. Mid door limits floorplans a bit.

They also got rid of verandah models and sky decks! UFOs and Fred seem to be MIA as well. Alpine coaches also have a nice name But I think that's probably the lowest reason on the list for buying one. I'm guessing wife is still decorating. Enjoy your home with a motor.
