10 min Tech Tip "Turn Your RV Shower Into A RainForest"

Tired of the shower spray hitting you in the face? I just did a simple mod on my rv shower that allows the water to come straight down over your head.

A) Buy a plastic outside shower holder(white/off-white) Any rv dealership. $5.39.
B) Buy a small bottle of DAP Weldwood Contact Cement $4.39 WalMart.
C) Clean the spot on the inside of the shower skylight where you will be gluing the plastic shower head holder.
D) Follow the directions on the DAP cement bottle for a good glue bonding.
E) After the glue sets about 24hrs, take a "Rainforest Shower"!

F) If the standard rv shower sprayer isn't large enough.....go get a bigger one. Remember water coming straight down has a greater force because of gravity flow.

While traveling we will stowaway the shower head in the factory position or when we want to get hit in the face with the water.

It seems like it might spray over the shower door, doesn't it? Just thinking.

We take Navy showers so need to turn the water off and on - which is on the shower head. Must add a shutoff valve in the hose.

Just took my first "RAINFOREST" shower. It was great! No problem with water coming over the shower door and I am 6' tall. Now the only problem is getting the wife out of there!

doesn't the shower hose hang kind of across the shower? I would think you might have to add an additional hose guide up near the top of the wall.

I am 6'2" and the shower head in my Damon is right where I would mount it if I were the one doing the mounting, Nicely high enough that I can shampoo without bending over at all.. Very nice.

Rain Forest Shower...

Well I been doing it a little different over the last 10 years or so. I just wait till it rains at night and go outside. Comes straight down AND it is very soft water, usually. People do tend to complain if I get too close but I can never understand what that has to do with a shower.
